Emma and her husband have lived in Madison for over twenty years. They had three babies in the local hospital, then two more with midwives at home. After “discovering” homebirth, Emma fell in love with the holistic and nurturing midwifery model, beginning her journey toward becoming a midwife herself. Prior to becoming a midwife, Emma worked in the nonprofit world for 18+ years, focusing specifically on anti-human trafficking work. She continues to volunteer her time in this area, coming alongside women as they recover from sexual exploitation. She is passionate about supporting women who have experienced trauma, providing the education and care that empowers them to have a positive and transformative birth.
